What's in the DChat download

The download is the complete evaluation package, not a simplified demo. It includes the server, browser dashboard, website widget, SQL scripts, deployment helpers, the desktop console build notes, and documentation, everything you need to run the real product on your own machine.

Self-hosted server

The ASP.NET Core 8 server that runs the whole platform. Host it behind IIS, Nginx, or as a service, backed by your own SQL Server database.

Browser dashboard

The agent and admin console for live chat, transcripts, departments, knowledge base, AI setup, webhooks, and settings, served straight from the same server.

Website widget

The embeddable visitor chat widget you add to any site with a single snippet, including a widget test page to try it immediately.

SQL install scripts

Schema and seed scripts to create the database and default accounts. The local runner can also provision the demo database automatically on first run.

No licence file needed

Live chat is free with unlimited agents and unlimited domains, in production as well as on your own machine, so the package ships no licence file at all. A licence only adds the AI assistant.

Deployment helpers

One-command local runners for Windows, Linux, and macOS, plus Docker Compose files with generated secrets, so the demo starts fast.

Desktop console

Build notes for the native Windows desktop agent console, for agents who prefer a dedicated app to the browser dashboard.

Documentation

A README and installation guide covering the quick-start demo, manual production install, widget setup, and system requirements.

Web Forms edition

A separate ASP.NET Web Forms 4.8 package is also available as an IIS-ready operational foundation that uses the same SQL schema.

One command sets up the demo database and opens the dashboard, so you can exercise the widget, dashboard and agent workflow end to end. This is not a time-limited trial: the same package runs your production desk for free, for as long as you want.
